Looking for a Spanish tapas cooking class? In San Sebastián, we don’t eat tapas, we eat pintxos! Learn the difference between these two delicious bites in our pintxo cooking class.

We’ll start the experience with a stop at a local bar for a pintxo and a glass of wine, explaining the differences between pintxos and tapas then, we will head to the market where we’ll handpick fresh ingredients and visit our favourite stalls. Back at our cooking school—the best-equipped in San Sebastián—we’ll cook the best pintxos and tapas in the city.

The class menu changes with the seasons to ensure we use the freshest and most authentic ingredients. Here’s a sample menu you might cook:

  • Pintxo on the go
  • Matrimonio de anchoas (anchovies pintxo)
  • Fake Risotto with Orzo and Idiazábal cheese

Pintxos culture exploded during last century, when they were created to offer clients small appetizers to try bar specialties. Currently, it has evolved, turning into a real gastronomy experience, in which each chef thinks really hard to create something new, combining basque flavours with foreing influences.
